Whether you’ve been newly diagnosed with celiac disease, gluten intolerance, non-celiac gluten sensitivity or have been gluten-free for years (I was diagnosed in 2005), dining out is always a risk. On one hand, we desperately want to enjoy a meal with our family and friends and feel “normal”. However, the risk of being glutened is real with side effects ranging from vomiting and diarrhea to bloating and brain fog. And these are just a few reactions of ingesting gluten. The list goes on and on.

So, what do us gluten-free folk do when we want to grab a quick bite to eat at our local fast food restaurant? I’ve been researching fast food restaurants and (of course) the King came up (no, not Elvis) – Burger King. What’s up with the Burger King gluten-free menu?   • Items that do not contain gluten
  • Items that are not prepared in fryer used for products containing wheat
