gluten-free t-shirt shopping page

Oh how I miss a good gluten-filled doughnut. Sometimes when my gluten-eating husband picks up off-limit doughnuts, I like to open the box and smell them. As I typed that previous sentence, I realize how weird and creepy that sounds. And on top of weird and creepy, now I’m wondering if I’m glutening myself by snorting glutenous doughnut air?

But I digress… I set out to find the details on if there currently are Krispy Kreme gluten-free doughnuts. I contacted Krispy Kreme’s Customer Service Hotline at 1-800-457-4779 and the answer was sadly a resounding “NO”.

Krispy Kreme‘s entire bakery is filled with gluten. Do not enter. Do not pass go.

DOES KRISPY KREME PLAN TO OFFER GLUTEN-FREE DOUGHNUTS IN THE FUTURE?

As Charles Dickens once said, “Never say never”. I do realize Charles Dickens was born a million years ago in 1812 – way before the words gluten-free were uttered. However, I like Chuck’s optimism and hope it pertains to a world filled with more gluten-free doughnuts.

I received the below response from Krispy Kreme regarding their future plans:

“Thank you for your email regarding your request for gluten-free Krispy Kreme Products. We appreciate the opportunity to assist you. Although we do not have any information on what new products are being tested, Krispy Kreme has a Research & Development team that is always working towards new products that can be enjoyed by all of our loyal customers.”
