I used to be a spur of the moment kind of girl. Weekends on a whim; day trips decided by the flip of a coin (or a suspenseful game of eeny meeny miny moe). Sweet Freedom Bakery in Philadelphia, PA's baked goods are not only gluten-free (score!), but vegan (dairy-free, casein-free, egg-free) and without corn, peanuts, and soy. It was overwhelmingly amazing to walk into a bakery and be able to eat every single item on the menu!
You know I'm gluten-free, but did you know that I dressed up my pet gerbil as the Hamburglar when I was little? I also strongly believe bacon comes from a bacon tree. Read on for other odd and random things.
The lovely Rachel (creator of the very delish gluten-free Blueberry Pizza recipe) at The Crispy Cook tagged me for a fun meme on my Five Favorite Kitchen Tools. I am not only a celiac but kitchen-aphobic (ok, not really a word), so my five favs are a bit of a long stretch.
Did you know that many people with Celiac Disease and gluten intolerance also suffer from various issues including painful dry eyes and MSG intolerance?
An unexpected and delicious surprise happens to me during a gluten-filled kid's birthday party. Hint: gluten-free cupcakes & cheesecake.
